The rough and tumble, grinding tensions of the past several months are winding down. Severe and harsh passions for grinding away at civility and order are dissolving away. And the risks of severely damaging storms are dissipating, too. Yet we are left with the consequences and fallout of these actions and events. Areas that suffered severe storms and flooding need to be rebuilt. Bullying and hateful attitudes have been given a new prominence, and some groups are emboldened to continue with these behaviors, including children. Trauma, fear, and the struggle to cope are the daily realities of populations assaulted in the mass media by popular personalities.We are faced with a new normal, and are staring into the faces of our losses and dissolution.
